The Forklift Certification training program is a proven method of providing your company with the means to meet the OSHA requirements for the certification of "qualified" forklift operators. This program has been successfully used by hundreds of companies to certify their employee's abilities and skills in the safe handling of forklifts.

All operators of forklifts, and other motorized lifts or pallet jack operators must be formally trained in safe operating practices and should be certified as trained. The following outline covers the program's contents: overview of program; review of safe operation of fork lifts; safety film; review of operating rules; review of fork lift operator's checklist; written test; and demonstration and road test.

 FIRST AID & C.P.R.

OSHA requires every company more than 3 minutes away from an emergency medical facility to have sufficient personnel trained and certified in First Aid and C.P.R. on each shift. This class is taught to the American Red Cross Standards with a video presentations, skills testing, and hands-on exercises using applicable equipment.

BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS

CAL/OSHA requires that those employees assigned to be emergency responders (First Aid and C.P.R.) and those who work in the healthcare industry be trained to deal with the potential exposure to Blood borne Pathogens and body fluids. In addition, an employer is required to have a written exposure control program. This training provides employees the required information and importance of using universal precautions and the use of personal protective equipment.

This program can be tailored to any employee exposure group including: health care workers; emergency responders; and industry workers. The program is designed to meet the requirements of the OSHA regulations and their written Exposure Control requirements.

EMERGENCY ACTION & EVACUATION

This training is designed to assist you in meeting the OSHA requirements for training and preparation for emergency response. The program will be tailored to meet the client's needs with regard to size, location of facilities, and operations.

OSHA requires that the Emergency Evacuation Program be put in writing and that all employees be trained in emergency procedures. In addition a mock drill must be held at least once per year. This training will assist your company to develop an emergency response team familiar with your emergency procedures and equipment. The training includes the proper response to alarm devices to assist in the alerting of all workers at each facility as required by OSHA.

HAZARD COMMUNICATION (CHEMICAL EXPOSURE, HANDLING, M.S.D.S.)

All employees who may be exposed to or handle almost any type of chemical products must be trained in the Haz Com program including: how to read and understanding the information in a MSDS, proper chemical labeling, proper use of chemicals, the adverse physical and health affects of the chemicals, and the program itself.

This educational program has several component parts, each of which builds upon the one preceding: Video Tape, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Exercise, Discussion, and quiz. All will provide compliance with the OSHA requirements for training in the Hazard Communication (Haz Com) regulations.

The program and format are geared to employees who do not have a solid working knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets. Thus, we will first provide an interesting overview of the subject and related terms. This is done in the first phase when we present the generic Material Safety Data Sheet audio/visual presentation. Having set the tone, we follow with a detailed discussion of more specific information of how to read a MSDS.

LOCKOUT/TAGOUT

OSHA requires that all supervisors and employee personnel who maintain, operate, or do repairs on machines, equipment or other devices that may cause injury from the various types of energy sources, must be trained in Lockout/Tagout procedures and the proper use of Lockout equipment. Another requirement is that the program, Lockout/Tagout, be put in writing, a service that we can provide.

The lockout/tagout safety training program is a proven method of providing your company's compliance with the OSHA regulations for lockout/tagout safety. This program is designed to train employees on the safe methods in the handling and maintaining of energized systems. This program has been successfully used by hundreds of companies to train and certify their employees' abilities and skills in the handling energized systems safely. The program includes a lecture and discussion, safety video, review of lockout/tagout policies and procedures, review of program and materials and written quiz.

This program has been developed to provide you with the information needed to help prevent the possibility of employee back injuries. The program has been designed to meet requirements of OSHA as well as reinforce company policy on the prevention of back injuries. (OSHA feels that all employees are potentially exposed to a back injury, thus it is one of the required trainings for all employees.)

In today's work environment, back injuries account for nearly 20% of all injuries. But the cost of these injuries accounts for nearly 60% of all Workers Compensation insurance costs. These costs are paid by your employer in the charges for their Workers Compensation Insurance cost.

A formal back injury prevention program should be established with all supervisors and employees being trained in proper lifting techniques. As the key to the success of this program is to train the employee to the job specific tasks, our services can be tailored to meet this objective.

JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS

An integral part of any safety program is the use of Job Safety Analysis (JSA). This document is designed to assist companies in breaking down specific job tasks step-by-step to determine possible hazards associated to each and the associated controls to minimize the hazard to the employee. The completed JSA form is used in the initial training of new employees as well as remedial training tools for current employees.

Each major job function on significant machinery or hazardous job tasks should have a written Job Safety Analysis developed and communicated to all affected employees. The JSA should be posted at the job site or readily available for easy review by employees.

DOCUMENTATION AND RECORDKEEPING

All supervisory personnel should be carefully trained in proper Documentation and Record Keeping systems with emphasis placed on the critical importance of this procedure.
